Helena Walsh, who teaches voice at the GSA, is co directing an International Voice Festival, the 4th International Freedom and Focus Fitzmaurice Voicework Conference which will be taking place from the 14th to the 18th July 2016 in Dance House, Dublin.

Fitzmaurice Voicework Teaching Professionals and artists from around the world will present five days of voice workshops and three evenings of international performances that demonstrate the breadth and depth of this work throughout the world. There will be a total of thirty different workshops over the week to choose from. Each participant can choose up to three a day. Local and International performance companies will present at the evening festival, at Smock Alley and it will be finished with a wonderful gala banquet on the final evening!

This conference is growing in numbers, with over 80 registered, 50 from overseas and we would love Dublin to be the biggest one yet! We really want all of Ireland to be represented at the conference. Helena , who is co-directing this conference, has managed to secure a special price for local artists across all the performing arts disciplines.

Those who work in the profession can avail of a special price of 250.00. (The normal price is 430.00). This is a special price for actors and those in the arts working freelance.
Please note that we are trying to be equitable and therefore if you are in full time employment the full fee will apply.

We are aware of people’s financial constraints so we hope that this reduced fee will give you the opportunity to attend this wonderful 5 day festival. We have a limited number of reduced rates for local artists and it is on a first come, first served basis.

Please check out the website http://www.freedomandfocusconference.org for further information on the conference and to register for the reduced fee.
