An MFA student in directing at the Lir Academy is currently looking for Irish female actors over the age of 18 who have an interest or a background in devising for a three week devising project.

The project is supervised by director Wayne Jordan and the final 20 minute piece will be performed to in studio 1 in the Lir on Wednesday the 23rd of March. While payment cannot be offered as this is a student accessed project, the piece is a good chance to make contacts, be seen and to be involved in interesting work with the potential for the work to continue in the future.

The subject being explored would be women’s rights in Ireland, specifically the right to choose. Starting in the 80’s and working up to current issues. This would be a very collaborative project dealing with a sensitive and important subject. Those getting in touch would need almost full availability on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of March and enough flexibility to partake in the devising process starting ASAP until the performance on the 23rd (ideally we would meet approx 3/4 times a week though when is flexible)

Those interested should email a brief summary of their interest/suitability as well as
CV, headshot and any footage that may be helpful to
