Falling” A new play presented by Octopus Theatre Company.

We are looking for four actors (2 male and 2 female) for the production of a new play in 69 O’Connell Street Theatre (220 seat theatre venue Limerick City). Kindly supported by Lime Tree Theatre,  Culture Night and  Limerick City Council.

Age ranges from early to late twenties. Ability to speak in regional accents preferred. Flexible rehearsals take place in Dublin from the first week of August.  Full availability required from the 10th of September. Please note the production takes place in Limerick City from the 15th to the 19th of September. We are covering transport to and from Limerick as well as accommodation costs. We are also offering a stipend in addition to this.

About Falling

An unusually beautiful girl named Alya died in strange circumstances in the Summer of 1997. Nine years later Alya’s three friends, Matty, Orlaith and Aaron meet for the first time since the incident. Aaron introduces his new girlfriend Clara to the group. Clara bares an uncanny resemblance to Alya….A new play by Liam McCarthy, directed by Sarah Bradley (Bristol Old Vic.)  “Falling” was first presented as a rehearsed reading in Dublin’s Collaborations festival In March 2015. It was shortlisted for Best New Play 2015 at Listowel Writer’s Week.
