Actors Wanted!

Champlain College Dublin in association with Irish Filmmaker Barrie Dowdall are looking for actors (non paid) to work on a short film which will be produced and directed by one of Champlain’s best 3rd year film majors who is in Dublin for the Spring Semester – this is the film program’s 3rd year running.

The film will be shot late March/early April and will not last more than 2 shooting days. The films will be shot on state-of-the-art high definition cameras, finished to a broadcast standard and represent an opportunity for up and coming acting actors to get themselves on screen.

Barrie Dowdall (Champlain Tutor) has a long track record with The Gaiety School of Acting and has worked with many young GSA film and TV actors over years who are now well established both nationally and internationally.

 

A BREAK UP AND A BEER

Short Film (7 min)

Comedy about a young man who gets dumped by his girlfriend and learns to move on from the emotional pain and hurt when he goes out with his friend for a night on the 3 characters, 2 male, 1 female, in their 20’s.

CIARAN- MALE- 20’S: The main Protagonist of the film, he is a heartbroken mess who is trying to recover with the help of his friend.

SEAMUS- MALE- 20’S: Ciaran’s friend, he helps him try to get over his ex-girlfriend, with his own personal motives.

AOIFE- FEMALE- 20’S: Breaks Ciaran’s heart because she thinks Ciaran is a bum, but shortly after sees the error of her ways.
