About the show

Written by award winning writer- Gary Duggan, a regular writer for RTE’s Fair City and co- wrote the very successful RTE dramaAmber. RUN DON’T RUN is set in Spanish Harlem, New York in 1999, and tells the story of a young man fleeing Dublin. He crash lands on the couch of his Irish American cousin, just as this cousins relationship with his girlfriend is imploding. Over the summer the three cling to the last vestiges of the dying club scene and flirt with small time criminality as storm clouds gather. The play is part love triangle, crime thriller and immigrant story.

Duggan writes very well… a deft storyteller with a gift for pacy, punchy narratives and for quick clean characterisations.” Fintan O’Toole, IRISH TIMES
