Ill-Advised Theatre Company are casting actors for their upcoming production of the musical ‘Spring Awakening’ by Duncan Sheik & Steven Sater. Ill-Advised Theatre Company is a Dublin based company set up with the goal of bringing high quality and affordable musical theatre to Dublin. Founded in late 2013, the company has since managed to stage a highly successful two week run of their debut production ‘[title of show]’ by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell last August in The New Theatre.

We are now setting our sights on our next production, ‘Spring Awakening’, and we are looking to find as much new talent as possible. The show is an engaging & ground-breaking musical based on a 19th century German play of the same name. It explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood, set to an indie-rock score by Duncan Sheik. It tells the story of a group of young people growing up in 19th century Germany and being oppressed by the adults and society of the time.
