For three weeks from 25th of August you can be a part of the Pan Pan Rehearsals for our latest show "Americanitis* Presents: The Seagull and Other Birds". Every day we are opening the rehearsal room to the public and we need you to help us change the way we make theatre. Let’s see what happens when the creative process becomes public. From 11.30am every day you can call in and observe how we create a show, how we have developed our unique and acclaimed style, and how the creative relationship between idea, actor and director is developed and maintained.

Everyone knows that the Seagull is one of Chekhov’s top five plays. And at least his second best comedy. It's simply hilarious. Now, come and watch your favorite Seagull characters turn up in all sorts of surprising new contexts, not just in the Seagull itself, but in classic plays, T.V shows, YouTube and even some other things we just made up. The performance centers around a concise new version of The Seagull integrated with a number of specially commissioned works. These experimental texts form a playful and weird repertory that the cast speak, sing and dance through. That's right! Context is everything. It's simply a new way of experiencing theatre. Weird, unsettling and beautiful. Chekhov would have loved it. Expect lots of talk about art, some action, and tons and tons of love.

*Americanitis, the baby steps of narcissism.

We are delighted to be working again with long time Pan Pan collaborators (Andrew Bennett, Gina Moxley & Daniel Reardon) alongside some exciting new performers (Dick Walsh, Samantha Pearl & Una McKevitt).
