These Immovable Walls: Performing Power at Dublin Castle is an exhibition of live performances that look at the relationship between performance and power. Seven artists have been commissioned to develop new site specific performance for Dublin Castle. We are looking for people to join the audience for a Cary Young’s performance Still Life. Still Life will take the form of a will reading. The will will be highly experimental in form and content, taking a playful approach to notions of ownership, fictionality, delay, economy and the circulation of objects, and will develop Young’s interest in law as a form of choreography.

We are looking for audience members to dress in black to add to the somber atmosphere of the occasion for the video shoot of the work. The performances will take place at 1.20pm and 4.20 pm on Friday the 11th. Each performance will be 20 minutes max. The invited audience can attend both or one of the performances.
