The Casting Call is a NEW workshop designed for professional actors and advanced acting students to meet and learn from two of Ireland’s leading casting directors.  The day is divided into two specific parts – the morning session focuses on how to land the audition, whilst the afternoon session is spent analyzing your performance.

This course is a follow on to our Casting and Audition workshops.

Participants will be given a scene to learn in advance which will be critiqued by a casting director. Previous guest tutors on our part time courses include Maureen Hughes, Gillian Reynolds, Ali Coffey and Louise Kiely.

Participants of The Casting Call can expect to:

  • Learn the do’s and dont’s of approaching a casting director
  • Learn how to prepare for an audition
  • Learn the difference between good headshots and CV’s and  poor ones
  • Gain practical advice for auditioning to camera
  • Have the opportunity to have some face time with a leading casting director
  • Learn how to take direction
