The RTÉ Concert Orchestra will be performing a concert version of South Pacific at the National Concert Hall on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th October 2013.

Rehearsals will take place from Sunday 6th October through to the performances.

We are currently casting for THREE YOUNG PERFORMERS to play the child parts.

Specifications are:

MALE aged 10 – 12 years old for the role of Jerome.  This will be a singing role.

FEMALE aged 10 – 12 years old for the role of Ngana.   This will be a singing role.

FEMALE aged late-teens to early twenties (17-22).  This is a non-singing role with a few lines of dialogue.

The characters of Ngana and Jerome are mixed race (their father is white, their mother Polynesian) and so we are looking for actors who have a similar ethnicity in order to fit in with the storyline.

This is a wonderful opportunity for young singers and performers to gain the experience of singing with a full orchestra and experienced adult soloists.

If you are interested in any of these roles then please send a CV and headshot ASAP to Holly.Westwood@rte.ie
