Director Anna Rodgers and producer Zlata Filipovic are making an online ad for the organisation Headstrong, The National Centre for Youth Mental Health – a non-profit organisation supporting young people’s mental health in Ireland. The ad will focus on young people and the coping mechanisms they use to get by when times are tough. This will include things such as spending time with friends, listening to music or getting active outdoors.

The short online ad will be scripted and will feature up to 10 young people, who will have a line of dialogue as well as some background participants who will also be required to perform.

This production team have worked on a similar video for the organisation BeLonG To back in 2010, which has been the most successful Irish NGO viral video, with 1.2million views and counting – for reference you can see it here:

We are looking for young people to attend a casting on Sunday 1st of September between 12 and 4pm. The young people should ideally be between 16 and 21 playing age, although there is some flexibility on this. We are keen to include people from a wide variety of backgrounds. The featured performers will only receive a small nominal payment, due to the fact that this is a low budget production for a charity. However, all will be credited and we are happy to provide references for any young people who participate in this video. The video will be filmed by the award winning cinematographer Eleanor Bowman. The final video can be provided to participants on DVD for showreels upon completion.

Auditions are by appointment, and we would encourage those who are interested to contact us in advance by emailing Zlata at by Fri 30th of Aug. Please send a C.V. and Headshot where possible. The casting will take place in a city centre location in Dublin.
