Are you a playwright/director?  Or a theatre maker who creates and directs your work from the initial conception to the finished production?   If so, could you benefit by attending the International Directors’ Seminar 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany, July 1-6, 2013?

All members of the WLPG network who are directors are eligible to apply to be the Write Local. Play Global. candidate to this prestigious seminar. It’s a two-stage selection process – we will nominate our preferred candidate, and then ASSITEJ Germany will make their final selection from the applications received from ASSITEJ Centres around the world.

But you have to be quick – we need your application by 1 November 2012!

Every other year ASSITEJ Germany organises and hosts the highly-regarded International Directors’ Seminar, a chance for approximately 25 theatre directors from around the world to work intensively together on a specific theme.

The next International Directors’ Seminar will take place in Frankfurt in co-operation with TheaterGrueneSosse (www.theatergruenesosse.de), an independent theatre which is well known for its work for and with young audiences and its involvement in innovative projects.

ASSITEJ Germany has requested that each ASSITEJ Centre selects one director from its membership to apply.  As an ASSITEJ Centre and the playwright network of ASSITEJ, WLPGis able to select a playwright/director to apply. We cannot guarantee a place to the successful applicant – they will have our support, but the final decisions about who can attend the International Directors’ Seminar will be made by ASSITEJ Germany.
