Ink and Light Films are due to start filming a short film called ‘Kill Your Idols’  from the 17th – 20th of May. They are looking for extras for a VIP area in a cool expensive bar scene. It is an unpaid role, but it will only be one day. Extra’s are needed this Thursday afternoon, from 2pm to 8pm (It may be less but just to cover in case of delays) .

It will be in Bray at the Bray Head Hotel, and around 20-25 extra’s are needed. Please bring black or muted colours. smart/trendy clothes, and do your own hair & make- up. Please contact Jennifer on assistant@ink-and-light.com if you are interested.

‘Kill Your Idols’ is a 12 minute comic story that tells the story of a young tomboy who wants to be friends with the local girls. She gets her perfect opportunity when their favourite rockstar appears in her father’s hotel. All she needs to do is get proof, and she won’t stop until she gets it.

The film has been selected by the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland as part of their Alexa Take initiative, which sees three promising film directors given the chance to shoot a short film with a state-of-the-art Arri camera. The film will premiere at the Cork Film Festival, and will be distributed online and at festivals across Ireland and worldwide. The writer and director is Leevi Lemmetty. He comes from an animation background where his films have been nominated for Best British Animation, Best Finnish animation, Royal Television Society award etc. His most recent film was Papa’s Boy – a CG animation which was Oscar longlisted and toured the most prestigious international festivals including Annecy, Toronto and Sitges, and received a cinema release. He has produced work for MTV, Warner Music and ROVE. He is currently developing his first feature film to shoot next year.
