Shakespeare in the Park,

Rehearsals: 2 July – 31 July

Open Auditions will be held at The Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square West, Dublin 1

Saturday, 19 May, 10Am to 5 PM and Sunday, 20 May, 20 May, 10AM to 5PM.

Please prepare:

•             A 1-2 minute Shakepeare piece (sonnets are allowed)

•             You may also be asked to cold read from the script

•             If you are auditioning for Ariel, Caliban or Stephano please prepare 16-32 bars of an a cappella song.

•             If you play an instrument, please bring a prepared piece and instrument

•             Caliban & Ariel should be prepared to do physical audition (Laban, gymnastics, Suzuki, acrobatics or other)

Actors will be paid €100 for rehearsals and will share profits from performances.

ABOUT FORTUNE’S FOOL PRODUCTIONS:

Fortune’s Fool Productions was started by Stephanie Courtney, director and producer of last year’s Cracked Light Production’s Romeo & Juliet (Unplugged).

Stephanie is the former Artistic Director of Wilde Irish Productions in the San Francisco Bay Area (named ‘Best of the Decade’ by the Berkeley Daily Planet, named ‘Best of the Bay’ by the San Francisco Bay Guardian and highlighted on NPR’s Prairie Home Companion by Garrison Keillor for the longest running Blooms Day production in the States).  She was the founding producer/director of Shakespeare by the Sea in Los Angeles, California, which is in its 14th season. Since moving to Dublin in 2010, she was a Judge for the Dublin Absolut Fringe Festival in 2010 and currently teaches for the  , The Abbey School of Music & Drama and Inchicore Vocational Education College.
