Tilted Pictures are producing an Irish Film Board short film called Doghouse and are currently casting for the role of the child in the story. It is the comic story of a day in the life of a hapless Dad who needs to grow up and his smart child who might be able to help with that.

The role is not gender specific. They are interested in seeing both boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12.

Auditions will be held at:  Fastnet Films, 75-76 Camden St. Lr., Dublin 2 next Monday Feb. 20th and Tuesday 21st  from 3.30pm until 7.30pm. (Directions:  Fastnet Films opposite Green19 between barber and phone shop)

The film was written and is to be directed by Morgan Bushe (IFTA nominated Best Short, Silver Star Galway Film Fleadh, winner Best Short Celtic Film and Televsion Awards If I Should Fall Behind, Best of Fest Cork Film Festival Mr. Crocodile in the Cupboard). His producing credits include The Other Side of Sleep which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, Circus Fantasticus that was longlisted for this year’s Best Foreign Film Oscar and Colony which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, was IFTA nominated for Best Documentary and won the First Appearance Award at the IDFA.
