The National Wax Museum Plus will re open on December 27th after the Christmas Festivities so why not bring the Kids along to see what the Plus is about before they return to school in January.

The National Wax Museum Plus is an exciting interactive visitor attraction located in the heart of Dublin’s city centre Temple Bar district and just off Dame Street. The museum is housed over four floors and 13,000 square feet in historic Foster Place landmark building, previously the home for Ireland’s gold store and arms at the turn of the last century!
The National Wax Museum Plus is an outstandingly original visitor attraction and has been designed to deliver an interactive experience taking you on a journey through Irish cultural heritage, an enchanting children’s zone of discovery, Ireland’s only dedicated tribute to our top scientific inventors, a Green screen video room, a fully functioning recording studio and all the exceptional life like wax work characters you can expect at the national wax museum.

The Chamber of Horrors
Located in the dungeon of the building, a frightful collection of some of the scariest characters from Dracula to Hannibal Lector!

A celebration of Irish scientific inventors, creators and scientists. Featuring live and interactive experiments, where one can push, pull and learn.
The WAX Factor
Only one of its kind in Ireland where visitors can dance, sing and make their own video which you can take home on a disk to keep & share with friends and family – the ultimate post card from the Wax Museum Plus!
Record in WAX –
Fully functioning sound recording studio with equipment from Dublin’s Sound Training Centre, Temple Lane Studios and the world famous Grouse Lodge recording studio. Visitors get the chance to use equipment previously used by some rock and pop legends such as REM, Snow Patrol and The Blizzards

Hall of Irish Legends
This room features some of the greatest Irish entertainment and sporting legends including Gay Byrne (TV Presenter) and Jack Charlton (Former Irish Team soccer coach). Visitors will be taken on a spellbinding video journey through the most exciting and tear jerking moments of resent times and how these people played their part.

The Grand Hall
The ultimate musical dedication to Irish rock ‘n’ roll and film legends including U2, Joe Dolan and Colin Farrell, a veritable explosion of sight and sound to finish your journey through The National Wax Museum PLUS.
Real live Characters:
The Museum is also home to some real live characters as well as those immortalized in Wax. These characters lurch in every corner of the museum telling stories of the waxworks and entertaining you as you pass though each exhibition space but a word of caution look out as they will emerge from the shadows in the Chambers of Horrors!!
